The Day of the First Attack and Days From Last Attack to the Year's End
Days Between Attacks
Jack’s Timetables show the days of the murders and the days until the end of the year . The days between murders are coloured orange, the day of the first attack each year is shown in red, and the blue numbers are the days from the final murder in a year to the end of that year.
The Three Series Used by the Ripper
Jack constructed three series of numbers based on his Timetables – see above.
These series and the patterns shown below, were used by the Lipstick Killer when he designed his attack timetable.
Jack divided the days between attacks in 1888 into many 2:1 relationships.
The first two elements form 2:1 relationships with the following four elements.
The first element, 126, is twice 22 plus 41, with 22 being the second of the final four elements when viewed from left to right. When we look at the final four elements from right to left, 41 is the first.
Thus, 22 and 41 form a 2:1 pattern in the final group of elements.
The second element, 24, is half eight plus 40. Once again, the position of the numbers 8 and 40 in the final four elements gives rise to a 2:1 relationship.
There were 11 days from the final Whitechapel murder in 1888 to the end of the year. Similarly, the end of 1889 occurred 112 days after the police discovered the Pinchin Street Torso. When we add 11 and 112, we get 123; the reverse of the 321 days from the murder of Frances Coles to the end of 1891.
